Wearing a comfortable sock underneath it added to the comfort. ... A medium weight athletic sock that went mid calf or at least above the brace and that had a fitted arch felt the best compared to the numerous other socks I tried with it. ... Sitting with my foot on the floor to allow my foot be in a natural position and taking my time to adjust each section of the laces were key to proper fit plus experimenting with the pressure of the adjustable straps on both sides allowed me to wear the brace all day or night. ... This was my first sprained ankle so it took me a while and a lot of experiments with braces and compression socks (which helped with swelling but I actually twisted my ankle trying to get them on causing excruciating pain.) ...
